A Rash of Illness
The house has been pretty crazy for the past 24 hours. First off, Milo got another eye infection. The doctor thinks it is due to a blocked tear duct and we have been referred to a pediatric opthamologist. The appointment is not until April, though. In the meanwhile, the doctor gave us a prescription for the same antibiotic which worked for us last time. But, and here is the exciting part... Milo had an allergic reaction to the medicine this time! He got a rash and a fever. And that was enough for me to flip out and nearly drive him to the ER. Dave had to restrain me. So, everyone who reads this should know: Milo is allergic to Sulphur.
And poor Levi has come down with the stomach flu which is going around town. I'll spare you the gory details here. Just know that 1) we need a new carpet and 2) yuck. Let's hope Milo does not come down with the stomach flu too.
You are lucky I'm not uploading a photo of Levi's affliction.
UPDATE: As of 8.24 AM on Wednesday Levi has not been sick in over 12 hours and Milo's rash has cleared up. Sha-woo.
UPDATE 2: Both guys are sick again. Fevers, stomach flu, the works. I guess this morning was just a good morning.

I'm sorry you're going through all this. I hope the new medicine helps the rash. And I hope Levi very quickly stops messing up the carpet and yukking out his parents. I'll bet they're good sports. Those dear happy boys.
Oh no!!! You guy got it too? Give those boys a hug for me and hang in there. We're on day 5. :(
Oh my poor babies!! ....and by that i mean Alison and Dave. (and of course Milo and Levi, too.) I wish I had some words of advice, but I guess all I can say is: wash your hands often and kiss my boys for me! I still love your sick house.
Thanks for the update! PHEW!!
For the carpet or any fabric (car seats, strollers, mommy's favorite cashmere sweater) get some "Nature's Miracle" from the pet supply aisle of the local Whole Foods Market. Spray the Nature's Miracle on the item and rub it in with your hand. The heat from your hand will activate the enzymes and before you know it... stain is gone.
Totally non-toxic. Safe for the boys and Manny, too.
